Dinton Pastures Country Park ~ Tree management

We joined Dinton's own volunteers removing the lower branches on trees so that the lowest where at least above head height in an area which has previously been a golf course and was to be the location at the end of July of a music event, the Marvellous Festival, featuring tribute bands. The intention was to avoid the risk of people walking into the low branches although somewhat ironically we spent much of the day avoiding falling into the drainage channels well hidden in the long grass, and it was not only the trees which had their limbs raised .....
