	Hazards Contact with machinery Manual handling Splinters Dust Noise Crush injuries Heat in the yard	Controls Activity will be undertaken in accordance with the risk assessment and procedures of the site manager. The site manager will be responsibility for the operation of the sawmill. Volunteers are to take no part in the operation of the sawmill. Volunteers must not work in the immediate vicinity of the sawmill when it is in operation. Always wear gloves when handing timber. Wear safety glasses to protect eyes. Take regular breaks to reduce risk of strains and other injuries caused by repetitive actions such as lifting, and to 'escape' noise, heat and dust from machinery.
