With its network of narrow paths meandering through the fast growing scrub, keeping paths open at the Cowsey is an ongoing task.
On what must have been the warmest day of the year so far, with clear blue skies and potential team members disappearing to complete butterfly surveys, Barry, Terry and Dave seized buckets and spades and set about creating a culvert where one path crossed a small stream, while the rest of the team cleared overhanging branches and fallen trees from the nearby paths.
The boys were obviously (justifiably) pleased with their work, possibly even more pleased than Terry was for having remembered to bring his wellies along for the task.
The team for the day was Judith, Shirley, Alan, Barry, Dave, Keith, Terry and fleetingly John who fluttered between task and butterfly survey.
