Mapledurham Playing Fields ~ Regular monthly task - Orchard maintenance

"The attendees from Saturday's work party at Mapledurham Playing Fields take a well-deserved break from their work improving the fruit trees in the community orchard. Many of the trees have lost their original stakes and, with small root development on a thin soil, they were leaning-over and rocking in the wind.

Econet funded replacement stakes and ties, and approx. 25% of the trees now have new stakes and are less 'wonky'. The remainder of the work will be tackled in future months." Steve
