Nature Discovery Centre, Thatcham ~ Path clearance

The quintessential summer task, path clearance and after a mild and rainy spring there was plenty of vegetation for Newbury & Thatcham's Green Gymers to cut back in order to allow access to the hide from where visitors to the Discovery Centre can watch birds on the lake without disturbing them.

It was good to see that the repairs we had made last year to the walkway's railings had stood the test of time.

Well done! Thanks to all our volunteers (in no particular order), Anita, Nadia, Helena, Ann, Christine, Julie, Dorothy, Denise, Barry, Toby and Tim who were joined on this occasion by Oonagh from The Conservation Volunteers.
