Clayfield Copse, Caversham ~ Path clearance
This footpath between the original and regenerating woodland at Clayfield, was typical of many following this year's wet summer with lush growth narrowing the pathway and causing it to become muddy in places.
Just room for a cylist to negotiate the pathway but the accompanying child must follow behind.
By late morning a good start had been made clearing the path but by then the rain had once more set in and a rather damp bunch of volunteers decided to call it a day.
On Wednesday, 5th September with the weather much improved we returned and completed the task.
