McIlroy Park, Tilehurst ~ Regular monthly task - Hazel layering

Under the watchful eye of Phil, volunteers continue the task started in January of attempting to increase the number of hazel stools in this part of the woodland by layering - a propagation technique familiar to gardeners.

Our thanks to Chris and her volunteers who turn out each month to help maintain this green space - officially designated as one of Reading's Local Nature Reserves.
