Birch scrub from the heathland area of Paices Wood provided material for the bonfire to bake the last potatoes of the year for CROW and the volunteers from the West Berkshire Countryside Society who CROW had invited to join them.
Coffee time and an opportunity to clear up any lingering mince pies.
Lunchtime approaches and the potatoes must be retrieved from the fire.
The task draws to a conclusion with a hopefully well fed group of volunteers and judging by the heap of ash, a considerable amount of scrub cleared.
