Wokefield Common ~ Gorse clearance (with bonfire)

Earlier in the year there had been fire on the Common which had destroyed an area of gorse. The area was already starting to recover and the purpose of the task was to clear any remnants of the fire (we had already had a task doing this in September when we had returned home looking like chimney sweeps) and also to clear more of the surrounding gorse.

The skeletal remains of some burnt gorse or the antlers of some giant deer?
