CROW's second visit to the Wolf Trust to continue the hedgelaying started last autumn. As if the hedge which consisted mainly of blackthorn and hawthorn were not thorny enough, the next section to be laid contained large amounts of bramble and wild rose which first had to be cleared.
By the end of the day a considerable length of hedge had been laid and the waste material burnt.
Many thanks to all who joined us on the day and to those who came to Clayfield Copse two weeks earlier to cut stakes and binders for the task. We hope to return next autumn to continue laying the hedge.
