CROW (Conserve Reading on Wednesdays)

Paices Wood Country Park, Aldermaston ~ Scrub clearance

The task started and ended with a cup of coffee, the same cup of coffee. We arrived in steady rain and with the forecast predicting it was likely to become heavier as the morning progressed, conditions were less than ideal for the main objective of the day which was to burn previously cleared scrub and so the task was abandoned. Despite the weather a total of ten volunteers turned out for the task - we must be doing something right!
