Reading Urban
Wildlife
Formed in 2024 to help members of the community assist with the management of their local green space.
Broad Hinton Copse is located in Twyford village in a residential area at the back of Colleton Primary School. The woodland is generally deciduous with oak, ash , hazel, yew species and also some sycamore. The volunteer group gather to manage the area to promote native species, encourage wildlife and generally to ensure this peaceful environment can be enjoyed for many years to come.
The inaugural work task took place on Wednesday 13th November 2024 when a new dead-hedge was created and the group now meets on the third Saturday in every month. Please contact us via the contacts page to volunteer: no long term commitment is necessary but would be welcome. Come and join us!
